Dr. Martin D. Gochnour, DDS.
hi, I’m Doctor G.
I’ve proudly served as “Madison Areas Best Orthodontic Specialist of Choice” for over 20 years. I’ve also had the privilege of serving my country in the United States Army, and Air Force, and planted many Orthodontic practices across the US.
Early Career & Education
As a young man I received my undergraduate degree in Aviation Business while serving as a helicopter pilot in the United States Army. After flying commercially as a civilian, I transitioned my career towards dentistry.
I attended The University of Houston for further undergraduate education. Later I was accepted into the University of Texas, School of Dentistry, where I’m proud to say I graduated top of my class.
During the Gulf War I served in the United States Air Force while practicing Dentistry, and afterward I was accepted to an advanced orthodontic residency program at The University of Texas Health Science Center.
Later I attended the Roth-Williams Course for further advanced orthodontic training and specialization in functional bite correction. I have also instructed and been actively involved with the Center for Advanced Education in Orthodontics for many years.
The Advanced Ortho Opportunity
During my career I have had many opportunities to plant and grow orthodontic practices across the US. That said, Madison has always held a special place in my heart, as I’ve spent a majority of my career living and practicing in the Madison area.
When I was presented with the opportunity to return and grow Advanced Orthodontics of Wisconsin, I jumped at the chance!
Staying up to date on the latest advancements in orthodontic techniques and philosophies has always been my top priority. Learning and introducing the advanced practices and technologies, which accompany partnerships such as Invisalign® Aligners and SureSmile® for braces, has allowed me to grow as a person, and an orthodontic specialist.
What I appreciate most about AOW
There are many fulfilling aspects of practicing orthodontics. What I most appreciate about this practice is the relationships I have developed with my staff, patients and community.
This has never really felt like ‘a job’ because I am fueled by the conversation and humor that fills each day. I love coming to work, and I can leave the office each evening knowing that I’ve given my patiences a reason to smile, and they have given me one in return.
